DRDO invites applications for various posts, salaries up to Rs 1.25 lakh per month

DRDO Scholarship Recruitment 2024: Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) invites applications from eligible retired officers or those about to retire from central government or autonomous bodies. These positions are offered on a contract basis for an initial period of one year, extendable up to three years based on annual performance reviews.

Positions available:

• DRDO Chair: 5 posts
• DRDO Distinguished Scholarships: 11 posts
• DRDO Scholarships: 19 posts

Eligibility criteria:

DRDO Seats: Candidates must be retired or approaching retirement from the post of Distinguished Scientists (DS) or equivalent from DRDO or other scientific and academic institutions in pay grade-16. Retired Lt Generals or equivalent from armed forces with technical training (BTech/BE. or equivalent) and higher degrees in Science and Engineering are also eligible.

DRDO Awarded Scholarships: Open to retired Outstanding Scientists (OS) or equivalent from DRDO or other scientific/academic institutions in pay grade-15. Retired Lt Generals or equivalent with technical training and higher degrees in relevant fields can also apply.

DRDO Scholarships: For retired or about to retire scientists, ‘G’ or equivalents from DRDO or similar institutions at Pay Level-14. Candidates must also include retired major generals or equivalents from the armed forces with technical training.

Salary scale:

DRDO Seats: Rs 1,25,000 per month
DRDO Awarded Scholarships: Rs 1,00,000 per month
DRDO Scholarships: 80,000 Rs per month

Additional details:

Age limit: Maximum 5 years after retirement.

mandate: On a contractual basis for up to 3 years, subject to annual performance reviews.

Leave policy: 1.5 days of paid leave for each completed month of service.

Selection process:

Applications will be initially screened by a committee and shortlisted candidates will be recommended to the selection committee for final approval by the competent authority.
