Police car ‘hit’ in Walsall by ‘suspicious vehicle’

Posting on their X account early this morning, October 24, West Midlands Police said they came across a suspicious vehicle, but when officers approached it, the vehicle attempted to crash the police car to escape.

Fortunately, due to the officer’s quick reactions, there was no damage or injury.

Following the incident, officers carried out an investigation and reviewed CCTV. With that, he now knows who the driver is and said they will be expecting a visit in the next few days.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “While on patrol, WS officers came across a suspicious vehicle, when the officers approached it, the vehicle attempted to ram the police car to escape.

“Fortunately, due to the officer’s quick reactions, no damage or injuries resulted.

“So officers made inquiries and reviewed CCTV. With that, we now know who the driver is and they will be expecting a visit over the next few days.”
