Danica Patrick slams trans athletes competing in women’s sports: ‘It’s completely wrong’

Trans athletes competing in women’s sports has become a controversial topic, especially in this election year, and former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick has had her say on the matter.

Patrick, one of the most successful women in American racing history, made an appearance on “Jesse Watters Primetime,” where she was asked about the state of women’s sports, specifically whether trans athletes can participate with biological women

“He’s completely wrong,” replied Patrick. “And this is coming from someone who was a woman playing basically a man’s sport. A man is different, his hormones are different, his body is different.”

Patrick revealed in the interview that his first vote in the presidential election will be for Donald Trump, saying that he believes that he is “the rational and reasonable choice”.

Trump recently discussed his thoughts on transgender inclusion in women’s sports on Barstool Sports’ “Bussin’ with the Boys” with former NFL players Taylor Lewan and Will Compton.

Towards the end of the interview, he was asked how he planned to unite a divided country.

“So you want to see the country united. But you have a very conservative side and a conservative side, and then you have people who want to see an open border and stuff. A lot of it is so far away,” Trump said. . “Like, for example, they want men to play in women’s sports. I don’t think I could ever say I’m excited about that. I’ve seen it. I’ve seen people really hurt.”

TRUMP DECLARES TRANSGENDER INCLUSION IN SPORTS POLICIES “FANS OUT”

Trump pointed to the controversy at this year’s Olympics, where Imane Khelif and Lin Yu Ting won gold medals in the women’s division in their respective weight classes for boxing. Both boxers were in the middle of a gender controversy.

“This is all ridiculous,” Trump added.

Trump’s stance has been clear since the Republican National Convention in July, where he spoke briefly on the issue.

And Patrick isn’t the only professional athlete, past or present, who thinks so.

Golfer Lauren Miller recently appeared on OutKick’s “Don’t @ Me with Dan Dakich,” where she shared her belief that Trump would do a better job protecting women’s sports than Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Trump has come to his rallies and said, ‘Men will not play in women’s sports.’ It’s as simple as that, so I don’t see Kamala doing that, I don’t see any policies coming forward that say otherwise.

Patrick went on to explain why she is “passionate” about voting for Trump this year.

“I’m passionate about it because I feel like voting for Donald Trump is like voting for reason,” he said. “It’s like the rational, reasonable choice. I feel like, above all, what this country could be if he gets into office, with all the amazing, brilliant people who are supporting him, I think he can do not only America. fantastic of new, but make America greater than it has ever been.”
