Jelly Roll described the platform as a chaotic environment where users feel free to be cruel without consequence, commenting, “It’s a safe place for everyone to say mean things to each other.”

Concluding his post, he simply said, “I’m out lol.” As of now, his X account remains active, with details of his April 2009 registration still visible, US magazine reported.

Jelly Roll’s decision comes after statements from his wife, Bunnie Xo, who addressed the cyberbullying she has faced online. In an episode of her ‘Dumb Blonde’ podcast, she revealed: “My husband got off the internet because he’s so tired of being bullied for his weight of shit. It hurts.”

Bunnie emphasized the emotional toll that online harassment can take, and urged listeners to consider the possible consequences of their words. She asked, “Do you know how many people are killed by being bullied a year? It’s enough.”

Meanwhile, Elon Musk’s chaotic takeover of X, marked by controversial changes like a new verification policy and mass layoffs, has seen several celebrities, including Elton John and Jim Carrey, leave the platform. Many have cited dissatisfaction with Musk’s decisions, including the reinstatement of controversial accounts.

Jelly Roll’s journey through addiction and recovery shapes his music and his personal life

The couple, who married in 2016, have faced significant challenges, with Jelly Roll having a career marked by his parents’ struggles with addiction and mental health.

Despite his success, winning a CMA Award for New Artist of the Year and several CMT Awards for his song “Son of a Sinner,” he remains open and forthcoming about his past.

In a recent podcast interview, Jelly Roll opened up about his journey with addiction and recovery, revealing that he attended his first Alcoholics Anonymous meeting as a teenager.

Jelly Roll acknowledged the ongoing struggle with addiction, stating, “One thing I do to maintain my relationship with these drugs is that I will still attend the meetings… I sit in silence and appreciate the message and the meaning” .
