breaking: Peri Youngblood, 56, of Donora, was charged Sunday by Donora police with robbery, burglary, theft by unlawful taking, witness intimidation, terroristic threats and simple assault. According to the criminal complaint, police were called around 3:30 p.m. Saturday to the 800 block of McKean Avenue when Youngblood’s girlfriend reported he was standing outside the home threatening her with a knife. Charging documents show Youngblood forced his way into the home and bit and choked the victim. He stole her cell phone to prevent her from calling the police. District Judge Gary Havelka sent Youngblood to the Washington County Jail on $50,000 bail.

Rape: Jarred Micha Ruszkowski, 25, of South Park, was charged Friday by Peters Township police with raping an unconscious victim. According to the criminal complaint, police were called around 4:10 a.m. to the 800 block of Venetia Road, where Ruszkowski is accused of raping a woman in her sleep. Police spoke to two witnesses at the scene. Ruszkowski told officers the encounter was consensual. District Judge Phillippe Melograne sent Ruszkowski to the Washington County Jail on $250,000 bail.
