Trump ‘disappointed’ in Julia Roberts over ‘Cringe’ Harris ad

The former president Donald Trump said The fox and friends is “so disappointed” in the actress Julia Roberts after a pro-vice president told Kamala Harris ad encouraging wives to vote Democrat and not tell their husbands.

Roberts recounted an ad released by the progressive evangelical group Vote Common Good featuring two women secretly voting for Harris.

“Did you make the right choice?” a husband wearing a bald eagle baseball cap asks his wife in the ad after she votes.

“Sure honey,” she replies.

“Remember, what happens in the booth, stays in the booth,” Roberts concludes the announcement. “Vote Harris-Walz.”

Trump joined The fox and friends by phone Friday and called the ad “so stupid” and predicted Roberts would look back and “shudder.”

“I’m so disappointed in Julia Roberts because I love — she’ll look back at it and cringe. “Did I really say that?” She doesn’t say much about her relationship, but I’m sure she has a great relationship, but wives and husbands, I don’t think that’s how they do it. I mean, can you imagine a wife not telling her husband who she’s voting for? Have you ever heard anything like that before?” Trump said.

Roberts was married to a photographer Daniel Moder since 2002.

The ad narrated by Roberts is similar to another pro-Harris ad she narrated Ocean’s Eleven co-star George Clooney. The filmmaker encouraged the men to hide their Harris votes from their Republican friends in that ad, which was released by the same group. The ad features a group of men about to cast their votes.

“Come on guys. Let’s make America great again,” a friend tells the group.

“Before you vote in this election, think about how it will impact the people you care about most,” Clooney says in the ad, as one of the men looks at a family photo while decide who to vote for.

“Are you doing your patriotic duty?” asked one of the friends after they voted.

“You bet I did, bro,” says the friend who voted for Harris.
