The police arrest 3 teenagers suspected of robbery

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Three teenage armed robbery suspects were arrested Friday night, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD).

Police said detectives spotted the trio, identified as Marvin Cruz and David Hminghlu, 17, and Davi Ortega, 16, in a stolen Chevrolet Camaro on Linbar Drive. The car was stolen from outside a store on Old Hickory Boulevard during a carjacking Friday morning, MNPD said.

Before police attempted to stop the vehicle, it entered an apartment complex on Linbar Drive, where the group robbed two men at gunpoint, MNPD said.

They then tried to flee in the Camaro and police deployed spike strips. Police said an MNPD helicopter followed the car until the three gave it up.

All three were caught and arrested, and police recovered a gun.

They were each charged in juvenile court with aggravated robbery.
