“We should be ready for it”

Former national security adviser John Bolton said he doesn’t think former President Trump will accept the results of presidential elections if they don’t win, warning that “we should be prepared for that.”

When asked by CNN’s Kaitlan Collins if he thought the former president would accept an outcome that did not favor a second term for Trump, Bolton answered“No, I don’t think so.”

“And I think we should be prepared for that,” he said.

The former Trump aide went on to mention the pre-election litigation that built up before November, calling it “a good thing.”

“People are already talking about the litigation that was filed before Election Day,” he told Collins, host of CNN’s “The Source.”

“Actually, I think it’s a good thing. I think the more trouble—it’s getting late now, obviously. But the more issues that are litigated before the election, the better,” Bolton added.

There are currently over 200 voting and election cases pending across the country, conformable to Marc Elias, a leader of Vice President Harris’ election litigation efforts.

Republicans filed challenge related to proof of citizenship requirements and postal voting deadlines. Democrats have challenged state election officials who expanded their roles — and many are in the loop battleground states which could change the trajectory of the election result.

The Supreme Court was too Heating the with election disputes on their emergency docket. Last week, the nation’s highest court recused itself in four separate petitions related to the election.

“At least now, some of this litigation is pre-filed and we’re getting results, some favorable to Trump, some not favorable to Trump,” Bolton said of the litigation. “Take those issues off the table.”

He then emphasized that “everybody should be prepared” if Trump doesn’t win.

“But I think everyone should be prepared. Because Trump never loses,” the former national security adviser said. “And if it loses, it’s because it was stolen. So it’s going to be difficult.”

Harris, too he said earlier this week that her team will be ready if the GOP nominee prematurely claims victory.
