ActionSA welcomes Batohi’s assessment of the Kodwa tax withdrawal

Batohi announced his decision following Gauteng Director of Public Prosecutions Andrew Chauke’s verdict to withdraw corruption charges against Kodwa and Mackay.

Meanwhile, the African National Congress said in a statement that it welcomed Chauke’s decision, further underscoring the importance of his retirement rule in the renewal project within the party.

Kodwa resigned from his ministerial position under the ANC’s withdrawal rule moments after his first court appearance in June this year.

The ANC has yet to officially comment on the NDPP’s decision to review the withdrawal of charges against Kodwa and Mackay.
