Woman washing car dragged as person carjacks her in Capitol Hill, police say

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a suspect stole a woman’s car and dragged her in the Capitol Hill neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

Police said a woman reported Wednesday that she was washing a vehicle at 20 8th Street in Southeast DC around 3:20 p.m. when a suspect carjacked her.

The woman then reported that as the suspect left the area in the vehicle, the door closed on her arm and she was dragged a short distance.

MPD said the suspect was last seen leaving from the east in the 800 block of A Street in Southeast DC.
