Help Columbia County catch the thief Evans who passes counterfeit $20

Multiple photos were taken of a man walking out of the Evans Walmart Supercenter around 5 p.m., Oct. 10, carrying what authorities say is $140 worth of merchandise he wrongfully purchased with multiple bills $20 fakes.

The wanted man is charged with theft by shoplifting and forgery in the fourth degree.

Investigator Ben White of the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office Property Crimes Unit is asking anyone who may have seen this man or may have information on his identity or whereabouts to contact him by calling (706) 541- 3934 or, after hours, (706) 541-2800.
