Liam Payne’s sister has paid tribute to the singer, describing him as an “angel” who “lived to make people smile”.

Nicola Payne wrote on Instagram: “When I saw the news pop up on my phone that you had left us I was left cold, I so wanted this not to be true.

“I’ve spent days hoping it was a mistake and someone made a mistake.

“You were too good for this earth, you are an angel who only lived to make people smile and happy.

“You have always been kind to everyone you met and it shows with how many people have confirmed what we always knew.”

She added: “I hope you’ve finally found peace up there and continue to take care of us all like you did in life. We’ll make sure Bear knows about his dad and how much you loved him, we promise.”

Payne, 31, died of multiple injuries falling from the third floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, last Wednesday.

Saturday, Payne’s other sister, Ruth Gibbins honored to his brother saying he was his “best friend”.

“I prayed this day would never come”

Today, Payne’s ex-girlfriend Danielle Peazer said she will “forever cherish” a message the singer sent her weeks before her death.

Peazer, who dated Payne between 2010 and 2013, posted a tribute to the former One Direction star on Instagram, along with two photos of the pair together.

She wrote: “Receiving a message from you a couple of weeks ago expressing your happiness at the love I found with Sonny and Mia is something I will cherish forever.”

The message relates to Peazer’s husband, DJ Sunny Jay, and their daughter Mia.

He also thanked the singer “for teaching me the importance of setting limits and that I should always protect my heart.”

Peazer, who met Payne on The X Factor when she was a back-up dancer and he was competing with One Direction, also wrote: “Despite being aware of your struggles over the years, I hoped and prayed that this day never come.”

Peazer added: ‘You were my favorite person in the whole world at times, but you could also mess with me a lot, and it probably annoyed you at times too.

“It was something we learned to accept from each other over 14 years, we could disagree on so many things but still look at each other in times of need and laugh at our disagreements and petty behavior 10 minutes later.”

Peazer, who now works as a model, said: “I’m sorry your story didn’t end differently, and I’m sorry you didn’t get to share more of your magic with the world.”

Earlier in the message, Peazer offered his support for Payne’s son Bear and said being a father was something the star had been “most proud of”.
