Despite the cold weather and long wait, the crowd of tens of thousands went wild for Kamala Harris as she took the stage in Philadelphia.

The Democratic presidential candidate is making one of his final pleas to voters.

“Our campaign tapped into the ambitions and aspirations and dreams of the American people,” she tells her supporters.

“It’s time for a new generation of leadership in America.”

However, she says the “race is not over yet” and that this could be one of the “closest races in history.”

“You will decide the outcome of this election in Pennsylvania,” she adds.

“Make no mistake, we will win.”

Chants of “we will win” erupt from the crowd – but some people choose to leave the audience.

“America is ready for a new beginning, ready for a new path forward,” says Ms. Harris.

“I will spend every day on your behalf working on my to-do lists.”

She sets out a number of policies, including tax cuts for working families, reducing health care costs, reducing the cost of living, and securing abortion rights.

Her famous campaign slogan “we’re not turning back” echoes through Eakins Oval.

“I’m not looking to score political points, I’m looking to make progress,” she says.

“I am committed to always putting country before road and self and being a president for all Americans.”

She ends her speech by telling the crowd that her campaign must end with optimism and joy.

“We can face any challenge we face when we do it together,” she says.

“Our people-powered movement reflects a simple truth, that we’re all in this together.”

The crowd erupts into applause as Ms. Harris’ song Freedom by Beyonce.
