November 5 is election day. Here’s what we know:

How many people took advantage of early voting in Ocala and Marion County?

Early voting in Marion County began on October 21st and ends at 6pm on Saturday, November 2nd.

As of 7:30 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 93,282 people had voted early. Of these, 56,162 (60%) were Republicans, 19,875 (21%) were Democrats, 14,947 (16%) had no party affiliation, and 2,298 had another party affiliation.

Marion County has 265,806 registered voters.

How many people voted by mail in Ocala and Marion County?

As of 7:30 p.m., November 1, the Office of the Supervisor of Elections has received 42,433 mail-in ballots. Of these, 17,514 (41.42%) came from Democrats, 17,272 (40.77%) came from Republicans, 14,947 (35.2%) came from voters with no party affiliation, and 931 came from those with a other party affiliation.

Mail-in ballots will be returned to the Elections Office by 7:00 p.m., November 5.

How do I vote in Ocala and Marion County on Election Day 2024?

When will the Ocala and Marion County election results be posted? Where can I see the results?

Polls close at 7pm on November 5th. After that, the first batch of results usually covers early voting and postal voting. Then come the voting results on election day. Check ocala.com for full coverage.

What is the school tax question on the Marion County ballot?

Voters are asked to consider a half-cent sales tax that would last 10 years. The tax revenue would help the school district build, replace and improve school infrastructure.

Is Marion County Commissioner Matt McClain on the ballot?

Yes. He won the Republican primary in August and now faces a write-in candidate, Rich Brown, on the Nov. 5 ballot. Brown has not raised any money for his campaign, according to the Office of Elections website.
