US Election 2024: Lady Gaga among A-listers rallying for Kamala Harris – News

A star-studded lineup took the stage at a major campaign rally in support of Vice President Kamala Harris, providing a final boost to voter turnout in key battleground states ahead of Election Day.

“For more than half the life of this country, women have not had a voice,” Gaga told the crowd, adding: “Yet we’ve raised children, we’ve held our families together, we’ve supported men when they made the decisions – – but tomorrow, women will be part of making this decision”.

Gaga then reflected on the power of women who have influenced her life.

“Today I hold in my heart all the tough, tenacious women who made me who I am,” she said, adding, “I voted for someone who will be president for all, for all Americans. Now it’s your turn. , the country depends on you”

The concert series wasn’t just a musical showcase; it was also a powerful reminder of the stakes of the election.

Oprah Winfrey, who appeared at the rally after Gaga’s performance, talked about the crucial role Pennsylvania voters would play in determining the outcome of the election.

“If we don’t show up tomorrow, it’s entirely possible that we may never have the opportunity to vote again,” Winfrey said, adding, “And let me be very clear, if you don’t make sure that the people in your life you can reach to vote, this is a mistake to make up your mind, which is certainly a vote to let others control your future.”
