VTuber Nijisanji reveals how little he made of products before graduation

Former Nijisanji VTuber Kunai Nakasato revealed how little money he made from merchandise during his time at the talent agency before graduating.

Kunai Nakasato made his Nijisanji EN debut in October 2023 and graduated just eleven months later in September 2024. This was one of the shortest stays of any VTuber at the agency, and recent claims about how much he earned may hint at why he left so early.

Now streaming as SunnySplosion, independent VTuber revealed in the stream“By the way guys, I did some theoretical calculations here. If I sell about 12 packs, I’ll have earned the same amount from the merchandise as I did in my entire theft,” “theft” referring to my time at Nijisanji.

The package Sunny refers to is available as part of it birthday merchandise which is on sale for $77.77. At that price, the sale of 12 of these would total $933.24, viz earned under $1,000 on merchandise for a period of nine months working as Nijisanji EN Liver.

This number does not take into account SuperChats, sponsorships, ad revenue, or Members, so the total amount he earned from all sources will be considerably higher. However, her claims suggest that the cut talents earned from the merchandise are not substantial.

Formerly a former member of Nijisanji Mysta Rias argued was earning “like 1%” of product sales, while a “very reliable source” revealed YouTuber FalseEyeD that the cut varies from 1-3%. None of these numbers have been verified or denied by Nijisanji, and no official figures have ever been released.

As Kunai Nakasato, SunnySplosion debuted as part of TTT, a fan-named generation that was not given an official name by Nijisanji. Ninth Generation Wave did not feature their own debut song, with fellow talents Maria Marionette and Enna Alouette covering their theme song instead.

Unfortunately, TTT’s time as a full wave was short as Kunai would graduate within a year of her debut. Recently, it was also confirmed that Victoria Brightshield will follow suitwith her graduation set for November 9, 2024, leaving Claude Clawmark as the only remaining member of the wave.
