On Thursday, Jackie O Henderson admitted that she had previously been in rehab for drug and alcohol addiction.

The radio host, 49, tearfully revealed during The Kyle and Jackie O Show taping at the Betty Ford Center in California in November 2022, during an extended hiatus from her hit radio show.

America’s iconic treatment center has helped a long line of celebrities overcome their struggles with addiction.

Located in Rancho Mirage, California, near Palm Springs, the original center was founded by Betty Ford, wife of former US President Gerald Ford, and Dr. James West in 1982.

Betty was inspired to establish the center after her own battles with alcohol and diazepam addiction.

Provides inpatient, outpatient and residential day treatment for alcohol and other drug addictions.

The Betty Ford Center also has 100 inpatient beds on campus and additional accommodation for 84 patients in a residential day treatment program.

He is known for his tough, no-nonsense attitude towards rehab, and not all patients are able to endure the strict regimen, especially pampered celebrities.

The Betty Ford Center merged with the Hazelden Foundation in 2014 to create the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation.

There are now 15 Hazelden Betty Ford clinics across the United States.

Past celebrity patients have included Elizabeth Taylor, Gary Busey, Johnny Cash, Robert Downey Jr. Kelsey Grammer, David Hasselhoff, Mickey Mantle, Liza Minnelli, Ozzy Osbourne, Chevy Chase, Jerry Lee Lewis and Anna Nicole Smith.

The center charges between $30,000 and $60,000 for a one-month stay, depending on the program.

A frequent visitor to the Center is the actress Lindsay Lohan.

In 2010, Lindsay checked into an inpatient rehab facility, where she was released after just 23 days, and in October she entered the Betty Ford Center where she remained under court order for three months until early January 2011.

He returned to the facility in 2013 to undergo 90 days of court-ordered therapy as part of his reckless driving conviction.

Keith once recalled the time his wife had an intervention for her addiction problems, in an excerpt from the book Keith Urban by Jeff Apter.

Keith told Rolling Stone magazine in 2016 that he would have understood if Nicole chose to leave him after her stint in rehab in 2006, given that it was so soon after the couple married.

“I was very, very grateful that Nic called for an intervention on me,” Keith said, adding that his reckless behavior “caused the implosion of my new marriage.”

Former Friends star Matthew Perry, who died in October 2023 after drowning in his home’s hot tub, was also a patient at the Center, which checked into its Minnesota facility during 28 days in 1997 for an addiction to pain medication after a water skiing accident.

The actor, who played Chandler Bing on the iconic series, revealed to the New York Times in 2022 that he had spent nearly $9 million in an effort to get sober.

TMZ also reported that, before his death, Matthew was in the early stages of establishing an organization similar to the Hazleden Betty Ford Foundation in an effort to fund addiction recovery treatments.

Jackie O, meanwhile, admitted she spent 28 days in the treatment facility in 2022 for an addiction to painkillers, sleeping pills and alcohol.

He stated that at the height of her addiction, Jackie was taking around 10-12 Stilnox/Zolpidem sleeping pills and 24 Panadeine Forte a day.

The radio queen admitted that she often took her medication while drinking alcohol.
