Kristin Cavallari heads to ex-husband Jay Cutler’s DUI arrest

Kristin Cavallari is breaking her silence on the recent arrest of ex Jay Cutler on charges of driving under the influence and possession of weapons.

The former “Laguna Beach” star, who shares three children with Cutler, addressed her ex-husband’s arrest during an Oct. 22 episode of her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast, telling listeners that she hopes the former NFL quarterback “receive the help that he.” needs.”

“Very quickly, right before we get into the episode, I wanted to jump in here and tell you that this episode was taped right before a very public incident happened last week with my ex-husband,” Cavallari, 37, said years , noting that he would not comment further on the incident.

“Of course I wish Jay nothing but the best and hope he gets the help he needs. But that’s all I’ll say publicly about it,” he added.

Cavallari’s statements come less than a week after Cutler was arrested Oct. 17 following a minor traffic accident in downtown Franklin, Tenn., according to the Franklin Police Department.

The 41-year-old former football pro was charged with driving under the influence, possession of a handgun while under the influence, failure to take necessary precautions to avoid a collision and implied consent, according to a statement of press

Cutler allegedly smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes, according to the police department’s affidavit. He was also swaying and slurring his words.

When officers searched Cutler’s vehicle, they allegedly found a rifle and a loaded handgun.

Cutler refused an officer’s request to perform a standardized field sobriety test, police said. He was taken into custody and a search warrant was obtained at a nearby medical facility.

He was booked into the Williamson County Jail and released on $5,000 bond, police said.

Cutler played in the NFL for 12 seasons, most of which were spent with the Chicago Bears.

He and Cavallari got engaged in 2011 after less than a year of dating. They married in 2013 after the birth of their first child, son Camden, who is now 12.

The former couple, who starred in the reality series “Very Cavallari,” welcomed two more children, son Jaxon, 10, and daughter Saylor, 8, before splitting in 2020.
