Drew Barrymore defiantly removed her hair extensions on her ABC talk show during a candid conversation with Pamela Anderson about embracing natural beauty.

In a preview clip ahead of Tuesday’s episode, the presenter, 49, was midway through an argument with the former Playboy model, 57, when she stopped and removed the accessory of the scalp

After removing the piece of hair and tossing it around the studio, Drew shared that she had started wearing it due to perimenopause symptoms.

“I’m sorry, if we’re really going to be honest here,” Drew said as he began to stretch his head, interrupting Pamela as she admitted that she was going to put on makeup to become a character.

The host then began undoing the clips, prompting fellow guest Valerie Bertinelli to exclaim: “I love you so much.”

“Oh my God, that’s wonderful,” Pamela added. ‘Yes, correct. let go You don’t need this.

Drew then explained, “So another really awesome symptom of perimenopause is that you start losing your hair.”

“You have a lot of hair, your hair is beautiful,” Pamela observed, and Drew replied, “It’s good. Not bad.

Valerie, 64, said: “You can have a full face of make-up, feel like make-up is beautiful, but if you’re having a bad hair day, it’s like, no, it’s not going to happen.”

“And if you’re having a big hair day, you feel a lot more confident wearing less makeup because you feel so good about your presentation that everything else falls into place,” Drew added.

Drew has spoken out about experiencing perimenopause symptoms in recent months.

In February, she announced that she had become a brand ambassador for Dr. kellyann.

“Yes, the dreaded ‘M word’ that we shouldn’t be ashamed of because ALL women will go through menopause!” Drew captioned his post.

In one playful recording, the mother-of-two stood on a rooftop in a mustard yellow coat as she teased: “I just had to come out here and get something off my chest.”

“I’m not afraid of perimenopause anymore,” she cheered at the time.

On Tuesday’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, Drew, her guests and her entire studio audience went makeup-free for the entire episode in honor of the beautiful Pamela, a nude expert.

The ET star was also joined by Gillian Anderson and Gayle King for a no-holds-barred conversation about aging.

Elsewhere in her discussion with Pamela, the media personality explained what led her to travel without makeup.

“Well, it was at Paris Fashion Week and I decided I was just going to a fashion show, I didn’t need to compete with anyone,” Pamela shared.

“Like, why am I wasting three hours in a makeup chair when I have this beautiful Vivienne Westwood outfit and like, I didn’t realize no one would notice.

“So I thought when people started coming up to me and talking about it, I thought, well, that’s a great message to take it back and find out who you were again.

“I wanted to remember who I was. I discovered that I played characters all my life. I always wanted to be, you know I was painfully shy as a kid and even doing Playboy, for example, was a big leap of faith for me.

“I was just, you know, physically sick doing it, but I didn’t want to be shy anymore. And I just thought, well, this is my fantasy of what a model is, or a playmate, or a star wife of rock or whatever.

Pamela said she had been playing characters along the way and in recent years she was surprised that she had lost sight of who she was.

“That’s when I went home to my garden and started planting things, getting into nature and going back to the trees that knew me from birth.

“I bought my grandmother’s property and renovated it and started to get it all back and then I started looking without makeup.

“And then I started to realize, ‘Oh, I feel great as me,’ and I don’t want people to think of me as the other, all these cartoon characters that I created to protect myself, that that’s what I think I did because, you know, looking back, this is the best time of my life.

“I feel so empowered and so free and so excited about life again.”
