Money magazine names Veridian among the top banks and credit unions in the Midwest for the second year in a row

WATERLOO, IA (October 21, 2024) — For the second year in a row, Money magazine has named Veridian Credit Union among the top five banks and credit unions in the Midwest. Veridian was recently recognized for providing “Best Customer Satisfaction” in the 12-state region, including Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri. In 2023, Veridian was included in Money’s Midwest ranking for offering the best rates, specifically highlighting its Premium Plus checking.

This year, Money’s regional rankings recognize a bank or credit union in each of five categories, including free checking, interest on checks, CDs, customer satisfaction and overall. To determine the winners in each category, editors review data on minimum balance requirements, interest rates, monthly fees, online accessibility and more.
