Victoria Beckham reveals a handsome actor she would like to play husband David

Victoria Beckham has declared that only Hollywood star Brad Pitt would be fit enough to play the role of her husband David in any future biopic.

While there are no concrete plans for a David Beckham film on the big screen following the hit Netflix documentary in 2023, the question was popped in Victoria on Saturday by Vogue editor Dame Anna Wintour.

The former Spice Girls singer, 50, and her ex-footballer husband, 49, married in 1999 and have four children: Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 19, and daughter Harper, again.

Beckham, the docuseries directed by Fisher Stevens, was a huge hit for the streaming platform, and Dame Anna, 74, was keen to find out from Victoria if the Beckhams now have their eye on a film from Hollywood.

He asked the Out of Your Mind singer: “When a real Beckhams feature comes out, not the documentary, what would be your ideal casting for you, Victoria?”

Victoria responded by asking Dame Anna for her opinion: “God, I didn’t expect that question. I don’t know. Who do you think would be good?

Dame Anna responded that a star of the recent horror hit The Substance should play Victoria: “Well, I actually thought Margaret Qualley would be good, didn’t I?”

The Conde Nast official then turned his attention to the former Manchester United and Real Madrid player, asking: ‘And then what about David?’

Victoria was also surprised to be asked this question, taking a moment before blurting out a huge name, “Oh my god, I don’t know.” Oh my god, I didn’t expect that question. I mean, I don’t know, let’s call it Brad Pitt.

The audience then laughed out loud as Victoria explained her response by simply saying: “She looks good”, before Dame Anna suggested Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn.

However, Brad might not be the worst suggestion, as the 60-year-old actor previously played former baseball player and analyst Billy Beane in Moneyball.

Victoria’s interview with Dame Anna was streamed live on YouTube and her footage will be used in an upcoming Netflix documentary series about her, a sequel to David’s docuseries last year.

The currently untitled docuseries will follow Victoria’s life and career under the spotlight from the global superstar of the Spice Girls in the 1990s to a modern fashion maven.

The description continued: “His Posh Spice days may be behind him, but today Beckham is on a journey to build a fashion empire, and now, fans will get to see the story behind it all.”

Netflix has teased viewers with “exclusive access to Victoria, her family and those closest to her” and “getting up close and personal with the former pop star as she juggles her family and business life.”

No director has been confirmed yet, with some wondering if Fisher Stevens will return, but it will be produced by David’s production company, Studio 99.
