Ormesby hit-and-run leaves cyclist with broken wrist

A cyclist was left with a broken wrist after being hit.

The 40-year-old man was cycling along Normanby Road in Ormesby, near Middlesbrough, at around 7.45pm BST on Friday when he was hit by a white van, Cleveland Police said.

The cyclist, who was wearing high-visibility clothing and had lights on his bike, was taken to James Cook University Hospital.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage to contact them.
