Prince William is ‘in his Diana era’ as fans say same about recent events | Royal | news

Prince William has had a busy schedule this week attending various engagements, leading royal fans to draw comparisons to his late mother, Princess Diana of Wales.

Commenting on William’s dedication to a life of service and creating a strong bond with today’s youth, fans have been quick to praise Diana’s eldest son.

On October 17, Prince William visited Duchy College Stoke Climsland in Callington, Cornwall, England to learn more about the farm school’s opportunities for young people in rural areas.

A video of the day was posted on social media, where Prince William even got the chance to take part in a mock crime scene investigation, which is part of the military and protective services course the university

In response to the video, user @karenchrystal_ wrote: “William In his era Diana was a true king.”

Another fan wrote: “King Of Hearts and People’s Prince. We love you William!” referring to Diana being the “queen of the people’s heart” referred to in her famous interview with journalist Martin Bashir.

During the visit, William also learned about other courses offered by the university, including degrees in equine science, agriculture, horticulture, business, health and construction. The prince also visited a student-run cafe on campus and heard from the students who work there.

One fan declared: “Well done Prince William! He really cares about people.”

Earlier in the week, on October 16, Prince William called for a movement to create “systemic change” to end homelessness in the UK at the Centrepoint Awards, a charity of which he is patron.

The occasion celebrates the achievements of young people who have transformed their lives after experiencing homelessness.

Fans were quick to comment on how Princess Diana would have been so proud of William. User, _walesfamily, said: “Diana’s heir, she would be so proud of her William.”

Another wrote: “A great charity, Princess Diana was their patron and now Prince William. Keep up the good work, your mum would be so proud of the man you’ve become.”

Eradicating homelessness and supporting the community was one of Princess Diana’s many philanthropic interests, and she was a proud patron of Centrepoint until her tragic death in 1997.

On 13 September 2005, Prince William, HRH The Prince of Wales, became Patron of Centrepoint. The website writes how William “keeps Diana’s work alive” and how William has a “special way of connecting with people of all backgrounds, making them feel at ease.”
