Nintendo Switch 2 leak reveals a new look at the console and Dock

A new Nintendo Switch 2 leak features the look of the console, the look of its new dock, and its stand, the latter of which is a substantial update to the current Switch stand. Unfortunately, like previous Nintendo Switch 2 leaks, this one comes from somewhat dubious sources.

On September 18, the world’s first look at the Nintendo Switch 2 was allegedly leaked when Chinese sources revealed what are said to be factory prototype images of the Nintendo Switch 2. At the time, some other reliable sources decent they confirmed the pictures were real. , or at least similar to what they’ve been hearing about the console’s design.

Fast forward a month and we have another leak, this time from an anonymous Famiboards leaker who has proven to be reliable in the past. The leaker didn’t share any official or even unofficial images of the Nintendo Switch 2, but drawings of what they say is the console.

Unfortunately, the drawings are not done by the best artist in the world and are more basic sketches than anything else. Also, they don’t reveal much grade. As you can see, the Nintendo Switch 2 console and dock look very similar to the current Switch console and dock. The latter looks like it might be a little more rounded this time, but that could just be the result of a bad drawing. What stands out is the stand, which looks bigger and sturdier than what the current Switch is working on.

Since the leak got going, a Nintendo insider rather known as Nate the Hate stepped in, collaborating with the leak, at least to a certain extent.

“All I can say is that the dock sketch is similar in design/shape to what was sent to me a few weeks ago (ie a drawing of the supposed dock); but I’ve been working to verify that,” he said. say Nate the Hate. “Whether this design has circulated on Chinese forums or not, I don’t know; but the overall design matches the one they sent me in September. Again, I have not verified the design with any contacts/sources at this time.”

As always, take this leak with a grain of salt, like any leak. There seems to be some smoke here, suggesting a fire, but none of this is official or coming from a bulletproof source. Until that happens, proceed with hesitation. As for Nintendo, it has not commented on this leak in any way. We don’t suspect that will change, for a couple of reasons, but if it does, we’ll update the story accordingly.
