Steering gets stuck, AMTS bus hits a tree

Ahmedabad: An AMTS bus on route number 142, which was traveling from Lal Darwaza to Vastral Gam, met with an accident at 8.40 am on Wednesday. The driver lost control while turning near New Cotton Mill, causing the bus to crash into a tree. The impact shattered the windows and left four passengers minor injuries.
AMTS officials responded by issuing a notice to the bus operator and imposing a fine of Rs 20,000. AMTS Deputy Transport Manager RL Pandey explained that the direction blocked due to an oil leak, which caused the bus to crash into a tree and shatter the windows. Officials arrived quickly after receiving the breakdown message, confirming that the driver was sober. The damaged bus was then sent to a workshop for steering repair.
