AI firm Perplexity unveiled a finance-focused platform in the works that would allow users to search for companies’ financial information, make comparisons and study past earnings data.

“Real-time stock quotes. Historical earnings reports. Industry peer comparisons. In-depth analysis of company finances. All in a delightful user interface,” Perplexity posted on X, along with a video clip that shows how the new offer would work.

The video clip showed how a user could look up, for example, Nvidia’s financial information and see its earnings history in the form of data visualizations. In addition to this, they can search for questions about the company and track its share price history.

Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas also praised the new offering, praising the “simply lovely” user interface (UI).

While the company’s offering appears to be moving toward a search-engine-like model, Perplexity has faced accusations of plagiarism and copyright violations, soon after launching a revenue-sharing model for news editors.
