Makensy Manbeck on why she has no regrets about taking Chelsie Baham to the finals

When it came to competitions throughout the season big brotherhardly anyone held a candle to Makensy Manbeck. At the start of the season, she felt she was in a bit of trouble after getting into a “showmance” with Matt Hardeman and being attacked as a result. However, thanks to her sheer strength on the pitch, she stayed safe time and time and time again. In total, he managed to win three Head of House competitions (including, most importantly, the last one) and five Power of Vetos, and saved himself three times with victories in the AI Arena.

After narrowly winning the final Head of Household challenge against fellow finalist Chelsie Baham, Makensy was given the option of taking Chelsie to the final two for the judges’ vote or Cam Sullivan-Brown. Since Chelsie won four HoHs and one arena win, some fans would have expected Makensy to pick Cam, who only had one Power of Veto win on her record. However, she boldly announced that she wasn’t afraid of the competition and chose to face Chelsie, who eventually won.

So was it a strategic mistake on his part to choose Chelsie over Cam? How did you feel about these results? TV Insider caught up with Makensy to talk about it big brother final

What does it mean to you to be the queen of the competition this season?

Mackenzie Manbeck: Oh, the world. I entered big brother wanting to win, and maybe I didn’t win first place, but you know what? I won a ton of competitions, and… I’m now tied with Jag (Bains, Season 25 winner) for the most competition wins of all. I mean, hey, talk about some female empowerment.

Speaking of which, with how good you got at the physical stuff, have you thought about going to some more physics-oriented competition shows?

If given the chance, I would definitely consider it. I do enjoy it. I love the competition. I love going against people. I love hitting people. So if this was an opportunity for me, I definitely think it would be a hard thing to pass up.

So going into tonight, given the results, do you think you’ll ever regret taking Chelsie to the final?

No, I’ve been asked that question a million times. I was asked before I made the decision if I would regret it if she won and my answer will be no, always because this was a test of the game I played. I came into this house wanting to be a loyal and respectable player, play with grace, play with kindness and play with my heart because a lot of people come into it. big brotherand they don’t and that’s why they rip them off. And the thing is, I didn’t, I made it to the end, and I could have made a decision that probably would have allowed me to win first place. But I wasn’t afraid of coming in second, and I wasn’t afraid of having tougher competition to come in first either, because it was a loyal decision and one I would be proud to watch. And yes, I came in second, but her getting first place is a win for me. Anyway, she is an amazing woman. Well deserved. He played an incredible game.

Was there anyone whose vote surprised you?

I would say I at least thought I was going to get Leah. But I get it. I will say that Chelsie knows how to articulate her game very, very well. He didn’t have much to articulate. My game was shown. My game spoke for itself. I had to win and it was very similar to Taylor’s (Hale) season. And so it has been proven, it has been seen before. It’s been done before. Nothing new for anyone. It was much less complex than Chelsie’s. And even though I love Chelsie, she definitely dragged me a little bit in those responses, and, you know, respect, that’s what you’re supposed to do, I guess, but it’s just not in my nature to do that. I never want to do this to anyone. I wanted my game to speak for itself, and if people can’t realize how amazing a game I’ve played then, at least I do.

So what do you expect to see when you get home and can watch the show?

I don’t know if I will expect anything. Except to see me win because I feel like a lot of people were talking about wanting to go home. I definitely know I had the whole house against me for quite some time. I’m sure Chelsie even talked about me. maybe I don’t know I don’t ignore the fact that I was in the big brother home Probably tricked, tricked and all. So am I looking forward to this? No, because I don’t want to be seen as a naive 22-year-old. But I can only take what they give me. I’m going to take it wholeheartedly and just trust and believe and allow myself to enjoy my process through it big brother. And that’s exactly what I did and I’ll probably watch it again in a couple of weeks. i need a break I need a safe break. I’ll probably watch it again and say, “Dang good on them,” and I’ll watch it and say, “Dang, you really pulled your weight Makensy. Good job.” And I will be proud of myself, and also praise the games of others.

Who do you most want to spend time with outside the house?

I really want to see Leah again… I know I brought her out, but she was someone I connected with on the first day, the first night, and she was an amazing person to me and we have a lot in common, funnily enough. But she was a great friend to me, and I can’t wait to explore that friendship outside of this house.

Ultimately, what do you think the vote has come down to?

Honestly, I think the voting came down to the complexity of the game and being able to articulate it in a way that allowed the jury to understand why the moves they made and how they played was a winner. And Chelsie is a great speaker. This is what he does for a living. So I was afraid to choose her knowing that. But again, there’s only so much I can say about the win, but I was just hoping my play would speak for itself. He didn’t, and that’s okay because what he did do was put me in second place and make me proud.
