Revealed: Possible risks for Inter Milan coach, PSG defender and AC Milan captain in ultras scandal

Simone Inzaghi, Milan Skriniar and Davide Calabria risk fines and short suspensions as part of the investigation into Inter Milan and AC Milan ultras.

This according to today’s print edition of the Roman newspaper Le Repubblica, via FCInterNews.

Anti-mafia prosecutors are currently investigating Inter ultras la Curva Nord group and its counterparts in Milan la Curva Nord.

The authorities have already made nineteen arrests. These have been prominent members of the North and South, who prosecutors allege were involved in illegal activities and have Mafia connections.

As part of the investigation, prosecutors have spoken to several key figures from both Inter and Milan.

There are no allegations of criminal wrongdoing against any official individual of either club.

However, investigators are looking into whether or not the clubs may have facilitated any alleged illegal activity.

Inzaghi, Skriniar and Calabria could risk fines and short bans in Ultras probe

Investigators have already spoken to Inter coach Simone Inzaghi.

This was in regards to the coach’s conversation with arrested ultras leader Marco Ferdico, in which the ultras leader asked the Nerazzurri coach to try to get more tickets for the ultras for the 2023 Champions League final.

It was a similar story for the AC Milan captain Calabria.

The Italian international would have received a similar request for ultra tickets with the Curva Sud.

And finally, investigators could also speak to Paris Saint-Germain defender Milan Skriniar.

Skriniar had met with ultra representatives a few months before leaving Inter. This was to explain his decision to leave the Nerazzurri on a free transfer.

La Repubblica reports that investigators are looking to determine whether the contacts between Inzaghi, Calabria and Skriniar constituted an ongoing relationship.

If investigators come to that conclusion, the three could face punishment.

This would be under Article 25 of the Code of Sports Justice in Italy.

That would mean there would be risk a fine of 20,000 euros for Inzaghi, Skriniar and Calabria.

Also, there could be a short suspension for the trio as well.
