Beatrice and Eugenie reunite for first public outing since pregnancy announcement

Beatrice and Edoardo are already parents to their daughter, Sienna, who is 3 years old

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie enjoyed a stylish outing this week, marking their first public appearance together since Beatrice revealed her second pregnancy.

On Wednesday, October 9, the sisters attended the VIP preview of Frieze Art Fair 2024 in London’s Regent’s Park, widely regarded as one of the world’s most influential contemporary art fairs.

For the two busy mothers, this day provided a break from their usual routines, allowing them to embrace their shared love of art in a relaxed environment.

Eugenie, who is director of the beloved Hauser & Wirth gallery, attended alongside her brother-in-law, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Beatrice’s husband and real estate developer who often collaborates on interior design projects.

The two sisters looked radiant, smiling and enjoying their time together in central London. They mingled with other notable guests including actor Benedict Cumberbatch and tennis sensation Emma Raducanu.

The outing was particularly meaningful for Beatrice and Eugenie as it was their first public appearance together since Buckingham Palace announced on October 1 that Beatrice was expecting their second child.

Beatrice and Edoardo are already parents to daughter Sienna, 3, as well as Edo’s son Christopher Woolf, 8, from a previous relationship.

“Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child together at the start of the New Year – a brother to Wolfie and Sienna,” the statement from Buckingham Palace said .

“His Majesties the King have been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”

Alongside the announcement, the couple shared two touching pictures, showing their growing family as they prepare to add another addition to their expanding brood.

Immediately after the announcement, both Princess Eugenie and her mother Sarah Ferguson were among the first to share their warmest congratulations, with Eugenie in particular revealing how close she was to her brother in an emotional interview.

Speaking to Hello!, Princess Eugenie revealed that: “I call her a lot about crises and what we do and this and that.” And it seems their close bond also included asking permission before sharing an Instagram tribute about the exciting baby news.

“When I was writing this photo on Instagram, I called her and said, ‘What do you want me to say? ” Eugenia explained. “She said, ‘I can’t wait to talk about the trials and tribulations of motherhood.’ “

“I posted about our motherhood journey because it really is like being part of a club, a motherhood club. And when your kids are the same age and going through the same things, it’s the luckiest thing in the world . . . And Bea is my older sister, I talk to her about everything,” he said.
