LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In her recent appearance on ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’, ‘The Real Housewives of Orange County’ cast member Shannon Beador opened up about her financial struggles and ex-boyfriend John Janssen. According to the reality TV personality, she owes him $75,000. Shannon explains that he offered her the amount on the condition that Janssen sign a non-disparagement agreement, so neither could speak negatively about the other in public.

Shannon said at the time that his lawyer had just informed him that Janssen would only accept his offer as long as he could publicly proclaim who he was being so generous to. She was a little surprised at this condition, as she hadn’t expected until then that he would be particular about this statement in exchange for accepting the money. “I I just got word from my lawyer that he will take my offer if I make a public statement to tell you how generous I was,” he told Andy. John Janssen explained that he cannot be a party to Shannon Beador’s non-disparagement clause because he believes that she has disrespected him for almost five years. He, however, said he wants to clear his name of multiple accusations without wanting to legally limit his ability to do so.

Janssen believes that signing this clause would silence him and prevent him from arguing against Beador’s unfair treatment and the negative words he heaped on him. First, he feels the need to clear his name and be heard, rather than remain silent under a legal settlement.
