‘Former vegan’ Lizzo reveals what she eats in a day to lose weight

‘Former Vegan’ Lizzo revealed what she eats in a day as she credited animal protein for helping her shed pounds amid her weight loss journey.

The “Good as Hell” singer documented the food and drink she consumes in a day in a video posted to Instagram on Thursday.

He started his day off with lemon water and egg whites, cauliflower and fruit.

Later in the day, the “Truth Hurts” hitmaker, 36, enjoyed some okra water followed by a buffalo chicken lettuce wrap with “lots of mustard” and tea of homemade peach.

Lizzo revealed what she eats in a day in a video posted Thursday amid her weight loss journey.
The singer started her day with a glass of lemon water.
He also liked egg whites, cauliflower hashbrowns, and some fruit.

Finished off the day with spicy grilled chicken with carrots and asparagus.

Lizzo also included a voiceover in the video, during which she explained that she decided to add meat back into her diet during a trip to Japan.

“When I arrived in Japan, I was amazed by its clean and delicious food. I indulged in fresh sushi and a fluffy egg and was amazed at how good my body felt the next day,” she said.

Lizzo then ate a buffalo chicken lettuce wrap.
She paired her lunch wrap with homemade peach tea.

“After testing and research, I found that animal protein helped me have more energy, lose weight, and helped with my mental fog,” she shared.

“This is the diet that has helped me reach my goals and helped me feel good about my body.”

However, the Grammy winner said she still thinks the vegan diet “is still the healthiest diet you can have” and that she aspires to be a “raw alkaline vegan” one day.

A raw alkaline diet is a plant-based diet designed to create an alkaline environment in the body, which means having an internal pH level of eight or higher, according to the Cleveland Clinic.

Lizzo ended the day with grilled chicken, carrots and asparagus.
In the video’s voiceover, the “former vegan” said she lost weight after adding animal protein back into her diet.

The medical center cautions that the alkaline diet has not been proven to have any real health benefits, and that the body regulates pH on its own naturally.

Lizzo acknowledged that her video deals with a “sensitive” subject, but wanted to “be honest and share (her) story in her own words.”

“Do what’s best for you in your life right now,” she encouraged fans.

He concluded, “The only thing that matters is that you’re happy and if you’re happy, I’m happy.”

Lizzo didn’t reveal which trip to Japan inspired her new diet, but she visited the Asian country in August 2023.

She then shared a video of her travels after being hit with a harassment lawsuit from several former backup dancers. She denied the allegations.

In August, the singer said she was “taking a sabbatical” to protect her peace while sharing a video showing her weight loss.

A month later, he responded to claims he was on Ozempic by revealing he had spent the past five months weight training and living in a calorie deficit.

On Sept. 30, the “Juice” singer admitted that she was “feeling really bad” from overeating the day before, but was trying to stay positive.

“I’m trying to remind myself that my body needs this food,” she added in a TikTok video.

“And if my body deserves comfort, my brain deserves comfort too.”
