LIGONIER – A Ligonier man was arrested for calling 911 after law enforcement tried to talk to him about a previous 911 call he made.

Eduardo G. Hernandez, 24, 400 E. Fourth St., Ligonier, is charged with unlawful use of 911, a Class A misdemeanor.

On Oct. 22, Ligonier police officers were investigating a trespassing complaint reported by Hernandez. When officers arrived, Hernandez came out of a residence and began yelling at officers.

According to court documents, when one of the officers went to see why he was yelling, Hernandez called 911 because the officer came over and talked to him.

Hernandez called 911 for a purpose other than getting public safety assistance, calling 911 again while law enforcement tried to talk to him about the first call he made.

Hernandez was booked into the Noble County Jail on Oct. 22.
