Celtics Blockbuster Trade Proposal to Steal Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Bucks

There have been rumors in the NBA about the Milwaukee Bucks potentially trading star Giannis Antetokounmpo. Milwaukee has had a very poor start to the new NBA season and it has led to speculation of a blowout.

Antetokounmpo is the main piece of the puzzle for the Bucks and could give Milwaukee an edge in any potential trade. If Antetokounmpo truly became available, almost every trade in the NBA would try to land him.

While the Boston Celtics may have to go after him, they could realistically give the Bucks one of the best prospect deals in the league. While the Bucks may not want to make a deal with Boston, the Celtics could give Antetokounmpo a real chance to win at a high level for years.

Boston has a pair of star forwards that could entice the Bucks to make a deal. The Celtics probably wouldn’t part with Jayson Tatum, but Jaylen Brown could be an interesting option.

Brown has been rumored to be on the trade block recently and the Celtics could explore another deal. While Brown helped Boston deliver a title last season, it might be in their best interest to move on from him, especially if they can land someone like Antetokounmpo.

Here’s what a proposed blockbuster deal for the Bucks superstar could look like:

Celtics get: Giannis Antetokounmpo

Bucks get: Jaylen Brown, 2025 first-round pick, 2027 first-round pick, 2026 second-round pick

Landing a player like Brown for Antetokounmpo could be one of the best packages the Bucks could get. He’s still only 28 years old, giving the Bucks a long-term franchise cornerstone.

Milwaukee would also get back some draft picks in this deal. They have traded most of the future assets they own, so it might be in their best interest to do a deal.

Boston could pair up two of the top five players in the entire NBA and rule together for years to come. Antetokounmpo’s strong defensive ability could also stand out for the Celtics, giving them a legitimate two-way superstar.

Whether Milwaukee will even make Antetokounmpo available remains to be seen, but if they do, Boston should at least check in to see what it might take to land him.
