Charlotte County is opening more boat ramps after recovery efforts

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) -Charlotte County updates running list of open boat ramps.

Three boat ramps remain closed due to extensive damage and unseen hazards from Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

Open the boat ramps:

Ainger Creek Park
Butterford Waterway Park
Darst Park
El Jobean boat ramp
Harbor Heights Park
Placida Park
Spring Lake Park

Closed boat ramps:

Lemon Bay Sunrise Carousel Park
Port Charlotte Beach Park
South Gulf Cove Park

The Spring Lake Park Boat Ramp will close on November 11, 2024 for a previously scheduled repair project. This project is expected to take 60 days.
