Vicksburg man charged with aggravated domestic assault after stabbing sends two to hospital – The Vicksburg Post

Shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, Merit Health River Region reported a male subject to the emergency room with a stab wound to the upper body. Minutes later, Vicksburg Police officers were dispatched to the area of ​​the intersection of Churchill Dr. and Indiana Ave. to respond to a woman victim of an attack who was lying in the street.

VPD said officers have determined both subjects are involved in the same case, which at this time is believed to be a domestic violence incident.

The male subject, Daron Evans, 28, of Vicksburg, was arrested upon leaving the emergency room and charged with aggravated assault, domestic violence. He is being held without bail pending his initial appearance in Vicksburg Municipal Court.

The female subject was transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson for treatment. Her condition at this time is stable.
