American actor and comedian Eddie Murphy has been hired to star in the biopic of Parliament Funkadelic musician George Clinton.

The inspirational film will be directed by Bill Condon, who previously did it Dreamgirls in 2006, which also featured Murphy as James Early.

deadline broke the news that Eddie and Bill had joined hands to present an intriguing project like this.

The two will work on the Clinton documentary for Amazon MGM Studios. Meanwhile, the film’s screenplay was written by Virgil Williams, who previously wrote screenplays for Mudbound and The piano lesson.

It is significant to mention here that it was Catherine Davis who is a cult Clinton fan who came up with the idea Beverly Hills Cop actor.

The 63-year-old actor will produce the film under Eddie Murphy Productions.

Charisse Hewitt-Webster of Murphy’s production company will serve as executive producer alongside Jeff Jampol, Archie Ivy and George Clinton himself, whose presence is considerable.

Clinton has a lot of fans around the world. For the uninitiated, Prince once claimed that his band, Parliament Funkadelic, “changed the world.”

On the other hand, Eddie Murphy is set to appear in a heist film titled, The pickup along with Pete Davidson and Keke Palmer.
