A 23-year-old man from Michigan breaks into the home of the teacher’s mother and kills her: Cops – Crime Online

A 23-year-old Michigan man has been charged with killing his own mother during a home invasion in her Keeler Township.

The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office said was called to a home in the Sister Lakes area around 5:15 a.m. Thursday for a breaking and entering in progress.

When they arrived, they found 55-year-old Gloria White unresponsive inside the home. Despite life-saving efforts, she was pronounced dead.

They found Aidan Andrew White, son of Gloria White, nearby and arrested him on charges of murder and home invasion.

According to WBNDGloria White, an art teacher at Dowagiac Union Schools, called 911 herself, reporting that “her son broke in and gave dispatchers his name before he came in.”

He went in and killed her before the police could arrive.

Dowagiac Union Schools Superintendent Greg Blomgren shared the news of White’s death in a message to parents and said the crisis response team will be available to help students in the coming days.

“As we work through the pain and cherished memories of our beloved art teacher, let us stand together and surround his classroom and build up the staff members with love and support,” he wrote.

Aidan White was granted a $2 million bond with a hearing set for Dec. 11, the sheriff’s office said.
