Mumbai: BMW Z4 worth Rs 80 lakh was stolen from restaurant parking lot

A high-end BMW Z4 worth Rs 80 lakh belonging to a businessman from Bandra was stolen from the parking lot of a fine dining restaurant Bastian owned by actress Shilpa Shetty in Mumbai.

Police reported that Ruhan Khan, 34, claimed his car was stolen from the basement of a restaurant after handing over the keys to valet staff. The incident took place in the early hours of October 27.

According to officials, Khan and his friend reached the restaurant around 1 am on Saturday. He parked his car and gave the keys to a valet at the entrance. When the restaurant closed around 4 a.m., Khan asked the valet to bring his car, but by then, two unknown individuals had allegedly gone to the basement and left with the vehicle.

“But because the valet didn’t bring my car for a long time, I went to ask about it. I was informed that they were unable to find my car at the place where it was parked,” the plaintiff’s statement reads.

Later, after reviewing CCTV footage of the car park, Khan discovered that two unidentified people had arrived in another vehicle and stolen his BMW.

Police reported that they are following up on leads to track down the suspects.
