Why Kelly Stafford was mad at Vikings fans after Rams win

Why Kelly Stafford was mad at Vikings fans after Rams win

Kelly Stafford didn’t like what he saw during the Vikings-Rams game at SoFi Stadium last Thursday.

During her last edition Timeout Podcast Stafford, wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, recalled seeing Minnesota fans cheering when a Los Angeles player was injured.

“Fans cheering during injuries … that’s enough,” Stafford said before letting out a deep sigh. “I’m not going to sit here and talk down to the fans because you’re the reason I get to play the sport I love. But I think there’s kind of a line that’s crossed and should never be crossed and what’s encouraging when your player or the other team’s player is down.

“These are people who have families. This is their livelihood. So to enjoy watching their dreams come crashing down, I’m not really a fan of that.”

Kyra Stevens, her producer, who also appeared on the podcast, recalled seeing Vikings fans celebrate when the injury occurred.

“Thursday night during our game … most of the Vikings fans cheered. I saw it with my own eyes,” Stevens, who took the game from a suite with Stafford.

“Yeah, I think I looked at you, they were doing the skol chant while we had a player down,” Stafford said. “And, you know, again — it just shouldn’t happen. It really shouldn’t happen. We’re all better people than that.”

Stafford and Stevens did not share which player was injured or when it occurred.

Stafford went on to share some advice about fan behavior on game day.

“When you’re at a game and you see somebody go down, let’s just think about the individual and not the sport or the team — or your f-king fantasy football team that I’m not telling about… We Gotta just to be human about it.”

Stafford also talked about not agreeing with those who booed Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson when he suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in a Week 7 loss to the Bengals.

However, the negative fan behavior didn’t seem to spoil Stafford’s night.

The blonde beauty was dancing in a suite at SoFi Stadium, as seen in a photo on social networks.

“Welp… my dance moves are embarrassing,” Stafford wrote on his Instagram Story on Tuesday. “But this is the first game I’ve been beat at since I moved to LA

“The dance moves badly, but the anxiety level was low… I’ll take it.”

Stafford explained on her “Morning After” podcast that she threw a party with “some of the players’ wives and girlfriends and moms” and played flip cup.

“That game was so much fun and I drank, which I don’t normally do,” she said.

“People relaxed a bit, myself included. I wasn’t that stressed.”
