“Party with the Police,” NOPD hosts trunk-or-treat events

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is getting into the spooky spirit this Halloween.

NOPD precincts across the city are hosting trunk or treat events on Thursday, October 31. Families can bring their superheroes and princesses to fill their pumpkins and hang out with the police.

Chest or treat locations

• Second District — Gert Town Community Skate & Trunk or Treat Event from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Norwood Thompson Park at 7200 Forshey St.

• District III — 4650 Paris Ave. throughout the day and evening

• District IV – 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM at 3320 Wall Blvd.

• Fifth District – 5 pm at 3900 N Claiborne Ave.

• Sixth District – 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at 1930 MLK Jr. Blvd.

• Seventh District — Trunk or Treat/Fall Fest 5:30 – 7:30 pm at 10101 Dwyer Rd.

The officers of District 8 are not hosting an event this year.
