What’s happening in Reno this weekend?

Nevada Day weekend is packed with events, from the parade in Carson City to children’s theater performances in Reno about Nevada’s unique history.

Revelers can also see ghouls and gremlins roaming casino floors, concert halls and local neighborhoods Saturday night as Northern Nevadans approach Halloween week.

For those who have not yet reached the polls, there is still time to participate in early voting.

Here’s what’s happening this weekend:

What Halloween festivities are happening this weekend?

The haunted house in the dark corner scare Reno’s weekends through November 2nd at the National Bowling Stadium from 6:30pm to 11:30pm

Andelin family farms The annual haunted corn maze, Corn Creepers and zombie paintball will also provide a scare for brave visitors on Saturday. Zombie paintball is from 6:45pm to 9:30pm and Corn Creepers is from 7:00pm to 10:00pm Both Andelin Farm activities require time reservations.

For people looking for less spooky Halloween activities, Andelin Farms also has a pumpkin patch and corn maze during the day Saturday, as well as Wednesday through Saturday next week.

Revelers looking to show off their costumes this weekend can visit the bars in The ROW (Silver Legacy, Eldorado and Circus Circus) where cash prizes may be available to the best dressed. Those looking for a new restaurant to try while visiting the casinos can also check out Gordon Ramsey’s new restaurant.

Events adjacent to Halloween will also take place at Abby’s Highway 40 with live music from 2 to 8 p.m. and on the hour The Netherlands Project from 16 to 22:30

Grand Sierra Resort and Casino will also be showing camp horror classic “Beetlejuice” on Saturday for those looking to dress to impress in a familiar atmosphere. Doors open at 6pm and admission is $1 per person.

What Nevada Day activities will be in Reno, Carson City this weekend?

In Carson City, on Saturday, October 26, Nevada Day celebrations will begin at 8 a.m. with the RE/MAX Balloon Launch. After a military flyover, the parade will begin at 10 a.m. More information about the parade schedule can be found Here.

Brüka Children’s Theater will also present Paramount and sometimes wildly ridiculous history of Nevada Saturday 2-4:30pm Admission is $7.

Where can I watch the World Series?

While there are no widely advertised Reno viewing parties for the World Series this weekend, baseball fans can tune in to Fox Sports, YouTube TV, Fubo and MLB TV. The games will take place between the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers from October 25-29, with more scheduled games if necessary on October 30, November 1 and November 2. Games will begin at 5:08 pm

As Nevadans head into the final days of the election, people are turning their attention to the Silver State, which could swing either way at this point in the polls. Elon Musk asked voters in Nevada to sign his petition for a chance to win $1 million, a move experts question is legal. Vice President Kamala Harris is visiting Reno on Oct. 31, just days before voters’ last chance to vote on Nov. 5. Harris will travel to Las Vegas for a rally also on Oct. 31, the same day former President Donald Trump. will hold a rally in neighboring Henderson.
