It’s happening this weekend

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A series of events are happening on Saturday, October 26, around Mobile and Baldwin counties. Here are a few:

Elberta German Sausage Festival

The Elberta German Sausage Festival is Saturday, October 26 in Baldwin County.

The popular event will take place between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in Elberta City Park.

The Elberta Volunteer Fire Department will cook approximately 6,000 pounds of German sausage to go with German-style stuffed cabbage, potato salad, goulash, red beans and rice and more.

There will be over 150 arts and crafts vendors and live music to enjoy.

Entry is free.

The event serves as a fundraiser for the Elberta VFD.

Mobotberfest from Mobile

Calling all ghouls, ghosts and goblins!

It’s almost time for the city of Mobile’s Mobtoberfest.

The event takes place on Saturday, October 26th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Langan Municipal Park on Zeigler Boulevard and will include inflatables, games, treats and spooky activities for the whole family.

A costume contest for pets at 2:30 p.m. will be followed by a costume contest for humans, ghouls and ghosts at 3 p.m.

Fairhope Downtown Trick-or-Treat

For those in the Fairhope area, grab the kids and head downtown for trick or treating on Saturday morning.

Sponsored by the City of Fairhope and the Downtown Fairhope Business Association, the event begins at 10 a.m. Just look for orange pumpkins in the windows of participating stores.

And be sure to bring a can or two to fill the Fairhope Police Department car that supports Ecumenical Ministries.
