The source talks to the press about Diddy’s mental state in prison

Inside sources have also released more information about how Sean “Diddy” Combs is doing behind bars. It seems the person he comes into contact with the most is the one who makes sure he’s not on the sidelines.

Larry Levine, a prison expert, recently said of DailyMail’s ‘The Trial of Diddy’ podcast that Combs’ daily visits are from members of the psychology department who monitor his mental state.

“He’s not really on the trail, but my inside source tells me he has somebody coming in to visit him several times a day, you know, to make sure he’s OK,” Levine said on the podcast.

Combs was previously placed under suicide watch at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn when he was first placed in custody as a “preventive measure.” On the assumption that losing his lofty home environment to a prison cell would lead to a mental break, standard procedure was invoked to ensure that nothing happened, PEOPLE. However, he was released after just over a week in prison.

That doesn’t mean the rap mogul isn’t getting the better end of the stick, though. Levine said on the podcast that sources told him that Combs gets extra showers a week, a sign that he’s getting extra privileges. Among all the horrible stories about the inhuman conditions of the prison and violent atmosphereCombs’ attorneys said that The worst part of being there for the rapper was the food.

It’s unclear what Combs’ exact mental state is at this point, but we know it’s strong enough to hold him back until trial, as he previously stated that he plans to testify.

Combs’ federal indictment

Monday, September 16, the 54-year-old rap mogul was arrested in Manhattan by federal authorities six months after they raided his two homes in Los Angeles and Miami. His indictment was opened the next morning, revealing charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and engaging in interstate transportation for prostitution. The charges against Combs include sexual abuse, physical abuse, bribery, and various drug-related crimes.

The most notable claims come from his the so-called “broken” sex parties.where prosecutors allege that women and men were drugged and forced to have sex at Combs’ pleasure. He was also accused of using video footage to blackmail victims into compliance.

These allegations were first brought by his ex-girlfriend and Bad Boy Records signee Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura in a civil suit charging him with sex trafficking, human trafficking, sexual assault, sexual assault and other charges. Combs quickly settled the lawsuit within 24 hours, but lawsuits by other associates quickly followed in the months that followed. Most recently, Houston attorney Tony Buzbee announced that he is representing more than 100 plaintiffs who presented allegations of rape, sexual exploitation and sexual assault against the rapper.

While many of the 2023 lawsuits have been civil, this federal case has Combs facing criminal charges. He pleaded not guilty and was denied bail. His trial is scheduled for May 2025.
