Deepfake or real? Actress Oviya has been embroiled in controversy after the video was leaked

Some social media users have pointed out that the woman in the video has a tattoo similar to Oviya’s, suggesting it could be her. Conversely, others argue that the video could be a deep fake, raising questions about its authenticity. So far, none of the media outlets covering it have verified the claims.

Oviya, whose real name is Helen Nelson, hails from Thrissur and rose to prominence through her roles in Tamil cinema and reality shows. She made her film debut in the 2007 Malayalam film Kangaroo, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role.

Later she moved on to Tamil films. Her rise to fame was after her appearance on Bigg Boss Tamil, where her emotional moments, especially her bonding with fellow contestant actor Arav, enthralled the audience.

An incident during the show saw her jump into the pool when Arav distanced herself, becoming a hot topic among fans. After that, his early exit before the end of the show also raised eyebrows.
