Here are the basics. . .

“Residents should expect occasional road closures, busy roads with a parade of buses moving visitors around town and packed entertainment venues during the World Cup, but local fans familiar with Arrowhead should also prepare.

“The biggest one will be that you won’t be able to drive to the stadium and park… They have transportation experts looking at all of that and whether it’s going to be a park-and-ride or some sort of express shuttle is still determining all of that .

“The security perimeter around the stadium for World Cup matches will be dramatically expanded compared to a Chiefs game, leaving precious little parking for fans.

“Even Lot P, the far lot over the footbridge to the south-east of the stadiums, may not be an option.”
