Chicago hot tub boats are making noise again this winter

The Chicago Electric Boat Company is bringing back its popular hot tubs for a second winter season.

After a sold out inaugural year, Hot Tub Boats will relaunch on Thursday, November 13.

Offering a unique and photo-worthy way to experience the Chicago River, these self-guided ships can accommodate up to six people and boast scenic views of the city’s iconic skyscrapers.

Guests can leisurely cruise east on Michigan Avenue or west on Wells Street at a maximum speed of one mile per hour. Although food is not allowed on the boats, customers are welcome to bring drinks.

For those wanting a warmer winter experience, CEBC also offers 22-foot luxury heated Duffy boats for up to 12 people. Unlike the Hot Tub Boats, food and drinks are allowed on the Luxury Duffys, which also feature Bluetooth sound systems.

Prices for hot tub cruises start at $350 on weekdays and $425 on weekends. 22 ft luxury heated duffys rent for $156 per hour weekdays and $191 per hour weekends. Bookings for both options will be available online starting November 6.
