Lady Tatiana Mountbatten has revealed she is expecting her second child with husband Alexander ‘Alick’ Dru.

The daughter of George Mountbatten, the fourth Marquess of Milford Haven, who is King Charles’ second cousin, Tatiana, 34, already shares a daughter with Alick.

The equestrian and psychotherapist in private practice in central London took to Instagram, where he has 18,700 followers, to announce the news on Saturday, October 19.

Posting a series of pictures of herself wearing a tight sweater jumpsuit at an event hosted by Italian designer Max Mara, Tatiana added the caption: ‘A private preview of my exquisite new collection @maxmara bump growing “.

In the pictures, a glowing Tatiana glows as she proudly rests her hand on her body.

With her light brown hair in a classic blow-dry and a wide smile on her face, she looked radiant and relaxed as she posed for the camera.

Close friends and fans took the opportunity to congratulate Tatiana, posting more than 100 comments under the joyful images.

Great friend Sadie Chase-Gardener wrote, “Never was there a cuter, smaller bump.”

Meanwhile, podcaster and Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas posted a series of heart emojis.

Fashion broadcaster and influencer Hermione Olivia described Tatiana as simply “brilliant”.

Tatiana Mountbatten and Alick welcomed their first child in September 2023, revealing their daughter’s name a month later in October 2023.

The new mum wrote: ‘One month into motherhood… and what a month it has been! Elodie arrived on 20th September. It’s going too fast.

Tatiana’s fans were quick to send their well wishes, including Flora Vesterberg, cousin of the late Queen Elizabeth II, who commented: “Congratulations! She’s adorable! So proud of you xx’.

The touching post included five photographs – the first showing baby Elodie asleep in a knitted bodysuit and matching beanie while holding a toy rabbit.

The second image depicted Tatiana and Elodie lying on a bed, with the proud mother in her pajamas while the newborn slept on her chest.

The third photo showed a close-up of baby Elodie holding her mother’s finger, followed by displays of flowers and cards from friends.

Tatiana announced her first pregnancy in June 2023 alongside a series of selfies showing off her bump. “I’ve been kind of quiet here for a while … I’ve been busy finding my perfect wardrobe and growing a little person,” she said.

After sharing the post, fans began questioning Tatiana about her journey to motherhood.

The equestrian and psychotherapist, who has a private practice in central London, opted for a fitted jumper jumpsuit for the pictures.

In response to one person’s question about whether he was back riding, he wrote: “No, I’m not riding yet, yes, I miss it desperately.”

When asked about the gender of her first child, she added: “We don’t know what sex the baby is, it will be a surprise on the day.”

Tatiana and Alick were married at Winchester Cathedral in July 2022.

The bride looked stunning in a dress by British designer Suzanne Neville. Based on the existing ‘Amelia’ dress, she adapted it to include a three meter tailored train, incorporating the embroidery from her mother’s wedding dress.

Alick, an Eton-educated businessman, popped the question during a skiing holiday in Verbier, Switzerland, just six months before the big day.

She had taken her holiday engagement ring with them and chose a romantic spot on top of the mountain to get down on one knee.

Tatiana is the second cousin once removed of King Charles, and the eldest child of George Mountbatten and his first wife Sarah Georgina Walker.

His younger brother is Henry David Louis Mountbatten, Earl of Medina, while his half-brother is Harry Wentworth-Stanley, the husband of Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas.

Although he does not advertise the same position as his wife, Alick’s family tree is still dotted with noble landowners.

The 31-year-old, whose full name is Alexander Bernard Molyneux Dru, is the son of Auberon Alexander Bernard Dru and Catherine Margaret Norden, who married in Somerset in 1989.

His father, known as Bernard, is the son of Major Alexander Dru and Gabriel Mary Hermione Herbert, and is a descendant of both John Vesey, 4th Viscount Vesci, and Henry Howard Molyneux Herbert, 4th Earl of Carnarvon.

After finishing college, Alick founded Tripr, a social travel app, for “travelers (who) would like to meet other travelers as well as their friends.”

He founded Spiers Tutoring, before leaving the start-up world behind for a role in the M&A team at management consultancy Strategy&. This was followed by a two-year stint as an investor at SoftBank Investment Advisers.

Meanwhile, Tatiana, who trained under Olympian Charlotte Dujardin, was educated at the elite £12,000 term private Millfield School in Street, Somerset.
