Danielle Peazer reveals the final message she received from Liam Payne

Danielle Peazer has revealed details of the final message he received Liam Payne just “a couple of weeks” before his sudden death at age 31.

Peazer, 36, who dated Payne for more than two years after meeting him on the set of The X Factor UK in 2010, shared the details of the message via Instagram on Sunday, October 20.

“Getting a message from you a couple of weeks ago expressing your happiness for the love I found with Sonny and Mia is something I will cherish forever,” Peazer, who welcomed her first child, daughter Mia, with his radio DJ partner. Sonny Jayin May, she wrote in an online tribute to the late musician.

Peazer also noted in the post that she is dedicated to supporting Payne’s family, including her 7-year-old son Bear, who the One Direction star shared with the ex-girlfriend. “His biggest role and one thing he was most proud of out of all his monumental accomplishments was being a dad,” Peazer wrote, along with a black-and-white picture of the former couple posing with some ice cream. “To think that there is now a child growing up without one of his parents is heartbreaking and unfair. To Liam Bear’s son, as well as his parents and sisters, my love, thoughts and strength go out to you. The magnitude of this loss is incomprehensible and I will continue to support you in any way I can.”

Peazer also noted that while the couple’s romance ended in 2013, the breakup marked “just the beginning of our journey.”

“The things we went through and experienced between then and last year could be described as unique to some and incomprehensible to others,” Peazer wrote in the post. “But I think deep down we always knew that we would have some kind of connection forever, no matter where our individual lives took us.”

Peazer remained by Payne’s side when One Direction finished in third place on the competition show, just as their fame spread around the world. Peazer acknowledged Payne’s success and the international stardom he attracted to his Instagram feed.

“It took you a little longer to discover the person you wanted to be to be your happiest self, but while most of us have our teens and twenties to learn about ourselves, you spent those years giving more to the world than you never needed,” he wrote. “I would like you to know that you are always more than enough for this world without having to look for a role to play just to please others.”

A preliminary autopsy report seen by we revealed that Payne died of “multiple injuries with “internal and external bleeding” and was believed to be in a “semi-to-total unconscious state” at the time of the fall.

Following news of the tragedy, Peazer took to Instagram Stories on Saturday, October 19, to share her initial shock. “Over the past few days I have been trying to process the news of Liam’s death. Thank you to anyone who has taken the time to call, text or email with condolences and support ” Peazer wrote at the time.

After Payne and Peazer broke up, Payne continued with the likes of Sophia SmithCole, 41, Maya Henry i Aliana Mawla. Payne was dating a model Kate Cassidy at the time of his passing.

Payne is survived by parents Geoff and Karen, older sisters Nicola and Ruth and Bear.
