Rochester, NY – A 13WHAM celebrity couple hit the runway Friday for a good cause.

Former news anchor Don Alhart and his wife, Mary, walked the runway for the “Silver Fox” segment on the second night of Rochester Fashion Week.

Designers and models came together for Friday’s ‘Sparkle’ theme, showing support for the crisis nursery.

The show provides support for Center for Youth with crucial funding to provide housing for young people who are vulnerable and experiencing homelessness.

“It’s so exciting because we’re here to support the crisis nursery and our homeless shelters,” said Elaine Spaull, executive director for the Youth Center “And so, we can have fun, we can look good, we can walk and ostrich and we can also raise a lot of awareness for the homeless.”

The Alharts showcased vacation style inspired by Aruba, their favorite place to visit.

“The crowd was really nice and being able to share a little bit of Aruba with people was a lot of fun,” said 13WHAM legend Don Alhart.

“It was really fun!” Mary Alhart agreed. “I was surprised the crowd cheered…and we didn’t trip!”
