“You’re so sexy when you’re angry”

“You’re so sexy when you’re angry”

Alec Baldwin returned to “Saturday Night Live” for the first time since 2020, but not for his famous impression of Donald Trump.

He played Fox News’ Bret Baier on the late-night comedy series’ October 19 episode, spoofing the anchor’s recent interview with Vice President Kamala Harris, who is played by Season 50’s Maya Rudolph.

“The pleasure is not ours,” Rudolph said as she sat with Baldwin after being introduced.

Like Baier, Baldwin began: “When I interviewed President Trump, my first question was, ‘What do you think is the most important issue facing our nation?’ So my first question to you is, “Give me the exact number of murderers you have let loose in this country.”

The two proceeded to argue and talk to each other just like Baier and Harris did in Wednesday’s actual interview. “Can I finish please?” Rudolph asked. “I’m asking you,” Baldwin said. Rudolph replied, “Well then, you have to listen,” to which Baldwin replied, “Well, I can’t, because I’m talking.” Exasperated, Rudolph asks, “Well, when are you going to stop?” The bit ended with Baier saying, “Maybe when I go to bed.”

Like Harris, Rudolph bragged about his track record prosecuting international cartels: “If I had been on ‘Breaking Bad,’ I would have been done in three episodes.”

During the real-life interview, after Harris referenced Trump’s recent controversial comments about the U.S. military’s use of the “enemy within,” “Special Report” aired a clip of Trump saying excluded the comment. (Baier later apologized for the mistake.) In the “SNL” sketch, Baldwin’s Baier did the same, running clips of Trump (played by James Austin Johnson) saying that he “has been investigated more than Alfonse Capone ” and dancing to “YMCA”. “

“He can dance all he wants to YMCA or any other song that he doesn’t realize is a gay anthem,” Rudolph said.

Throughout the sketch, Baldwin’s Baier kept trying to step on the VP’s toes. When he accused Rudolph’s Harris of rejecting Trump supporters, “Are they idiots? Loose jaws? Stump-humpers? Cross-eyed meatheads?” she replied, “You’re trying really hard to get me to say something bad!”

“Bret, let’s move on,” Rudolph said after Baldwin suggested he thought Trump supporters were fat. “So you’re not denying they’re fat?” he replies, making her cry, “Oh, my God!”

“You’re really hot when you’re angry, you know that?” Baldwin told him, prompting a big laugh from the audience, which doubled when Rudolph replied, “Yes, I have.”

The sketch then refers to Harris’ comments about how his presidency would differ from Joe Biden’s. “I’ve seen Joe Biden from the Oval Office to the situation room,” Rudolph said when asked about Biden’s mental state, pronouncing the president’s name as “J’Biden.”

“And J’Biden is very brilliant, he’s very brilliant, but my presidency will be basically a billion times better,” he continued. “We are very different. For example, I feel comfortable saying the word ‘abortion’”.

Baldwin shuddered as he said the word and continued to convulse as Rudolph said “uterus” and “menstruation”; he then tried to win her back by saying “balls”, though she remained stoic.

Baldwin began to wrap up the interview, asking Rudolph to share why the American people should vote for her, but he repeatedly cut her off to prevent her from answering. With a sigh, Rudolph said, “Before I go, can I say what I’ve been trying to say all this time? Live from New York, it’s Saturday night!”
